2013

Its finally 2013. 2012 is really a tough year for me. How tough? Let's just say it shouldn't or couldn't get any worse.

Let's recall what happen throughout this year...

Okay, apparently I was posted to Selarang camp as a rifleman. I was really depressed that period of time. It was a week I never forget, its like whenever i sleep in my "cosy" bunk, I would wonder why am I doing here? I thank Jane for all the motivating messages and my rifle section mate Zhi Jie, Yvain, Jacob and especially Jerone, Ah Hock and Ziyun. They might not be good at their studies (for some) but they are the one who are really willing to help you when you are down. Thank you.

So after a month, was transferred to Pioneer platoon. I was really happy because i thought Support company would be a more relax place than the rifle coy. Anyway, I didn't make any friends there at first. After some time i open up to them amd we got closer. I like my pioneer platoon back then.

Weekends are basically drinking sessions with PCPY and co, supper with my PUPS and Mahjong at the usuals. Then I started partying with different cliques, spending more and more each day. It was worth it to think back to good o' fun days. I ffelt quite bad I have totally no time for my badminton friends.

Then came the day when I was charged 28 days SOL. I wouldn't want to say what happen, let's just say everyone is at fault but someone has to tank the whole shit. I was really depressed. It felt like jail. I was really scared during weekends. Staying alone in bunk is the last thing you want to do during your weekends. I really want to thank Kenneth Pek and Ah B (HongQing) for the motivation. They are so nice to bring me comics, bring in food and booking in early to accompany me abit. Ah B is more a verbal guy, who console me about how time will past.  Those days were gone anyway. My temper got really bad ever since. My drinking problem worsened and I took up smoking again. I also started learning guitar again thanks to Kpek bringing his guitar in. I am really touched that my Pups bought me a guitar for my 22nd birthday.

Straight after my charge was Brunei, which was honestly pretty fun even though its really shag. I think my section got closer. That is also the time when I see true faces of my friends also.

My borther enlisted into the Army, commando to be exact, tremendous change in him (of course the positive way). I am really proud of him with all the achievements he unlocked haha.

My love life wasn't that good. I mean it is really stupid to think back all those childish acts I've done that made me lose some of my friends. I really hope things will get better this 2013. I started drinking hardcore, almost every weekend partying like there is no tomorrow. I realised it is stupid because most of my drinking intention is to forget about all the troubles. Somehow it does but the problems still lies.

Bangkok trip once again, this time with my mother. I felt like a tour guide, dragging my mother to the usual shopping districts. Nightlife with my army friends this time. Eye opener. Came back with very bad news, causing a very big blow to my family. Those were the days I drink, smoke and laugh it away. It was really painful. really.

My 2nd year commanders came in before my 1st years ORD-ed. I thank god that there are some of them who are willing to fight for us, the rest i just leave it to god haha. Some are really nice people especially sarge bui bui (Han Ming) and sarge brandon who reminds me of my BMT PC.

Thank you SBSG (absentees: PCPY, Mandy, Jude and Aaron) for the cheery meetups, motivation messages and awesome birthday parties! It was really nice to have you all in my life. Serious.

Thank you GJE with all those little talks and advice. Thank you for all the encouragement too!

 

Thank you Mandy for all the things you have done. You had helped me ALOT in every aspect of my life. I cant thank you enough.

 

 

This is my another party/drinking/singing crew. Thank you all for bringing joy to my life, all the crazy stuff we do! HAHA! A big thumbs up to Gladys and KO!! Rey's not here, but i must thank him for his advices to life. Thank you!

 

 

PCPY and gang, those were the days we drank like there is no tomorrow.  I thank you for those days! Hope to drink/loklok with you all soon. Thank yall!

 

 

Thats Ah B! Thank you for all the encouragement and the things you have taught, I've learnt alot from you and Kenneth. Without you two I probably won't be as "fighting fit" as now HAHA! THANKS bros! ( Dang I don't have a photo with Kenneth)

 

 

My PUPS with a few absentees. They are already my part of my life.

This is my Pups! All present and I really hope our friendship can still be the same no matter who got into a relationship first. I won't judge anyone but I wouldn't want to lose another friend in this clique. I really love this photo and I hope we can take one pretty soon! I thank you all for being in my life.

I also want to thank Tai Chong.. To me, he is like my buddy, more like a younger brother to me. I know we don't really talk very often in real life but he knows when I'm really in trouble or when I'm at my pit bottom. He is the man that I can have no worry in telling him anything. I thank you for all the things you have done for me and I really hope I can do more for you in the near future. Remember anything can come talk to me aye! I wish you all the best in your love life and this year will be fucking awesome because its our ORD year!! (Y)

I wish everyone a good year ahead because I got a feeling 2013 is a good year. I don't know why but I just feel it. LOL.

As for my resolution, I did managed to clear some of my resolution last year, like...

Start learning the guitar again. (DONE!)

Prolong my online business. (DONE!)

Less vulgarities and Less bad tempered. (Good effort Ted) 

Maintain my fitness. (Not bad to be honest)

Start to really save. (FAIL)

Travel once again, to a different country (Did travel but same to the same country!)

This year I just want to have a few simple and realistic resolution.

• Less Vulgarities/Bad tempered
• Cut down Drinking and Smoking
• Start to Save for my Uni (If im intending to study)
• Get to a decent relationship. :)
• Perform in a gig/create a youtube cover

One of the proud moments.

It was my younger brother's POP parade last friday. Prize Presentation was pushed forward and we had to rush down even though we are not late. I am actually felt bad because the way my brother texted me that he would not want to stand out of his platoon for his certificate of achievement because my parents are not there to see that proud moment.

We managed to get in a cab after like half an hour. Ran towards my brother's platoon to see him standing there waiting anxiously for us. That moment I knew my brother had grown up. To be honest, I've not been really a good brother. Now I just how to support him in whatever I can.

He managed to get his silver though he was quite a fat ass before he enlist. Now he got his 6 packs already.

My Brother who got the Iron Soldier in his platoon. I heard they have to go through quite a lot of weird stations.

Im proud of you my brother, Keep up your attitude and I look forward to seeing you wear that Red Beret.

 

On the side note, that night was the one of the few epic night well spent with friends.

Hello people! I'm back from Brunei for my rotation 2. I must say the training is really tough, both mentally and physically. I'm so glad I made it throughout the whole training phase! I know you guys might had heard about the incident in Brunei. I feel sorry for him and his family.

Anyway, my brother has just enlisted into army just a few days after my Brunei training. He just booked out this weekend and I can see tremendous change in him. I'm really glad how he give me a text right after he booked out that he is safe. I can only say I'm very proud of him and feeling very guilty that I've not been a good brother before. I hope I can make it up by helping him go through this NS phase of his. Anyway thats my brother!! Now my house has 2 botaks LOL.

I'm really happy about how my life is now. At least for my family, we are stronger. :D

Tough times.

Hello greetings from Ted!! How's life going for everyone? Hope yours is better than mine. I mean it couldn't get any worse. It was the worst month of my life. All the mind fucking weekends. It is not easy to tank those days. But I'm actually glad that "it" is finally over. I know I've changed throughout this month. I feel more rowdy, angst at the little things happening around.

Ever since that happening but scary night on the 27th August 2012, I know I must put this to an end. Start afresh if I'm allowed to. I felt death the other night or maybe I was too lethargic to even remember.

I really want to thank those people around who are willing to brave through this "hardship" of mine together with me. Without the encrouragement, the support and the advice, I probably wouldn't survive half of the charge.

Therefore, I thank you all.

It was a tough month for me, a month to remember who truly are your friends. It is gonna be another tough month for me, but I guess I've gone through the "progressive training" which "they" always mention. Wish me luck and hope to see you all after 17 days. :)

Just a random side note, I shaved my head again.

A little of everything.

Just last week, my mommy was really craving for salad and eating out is such an expensive choice. So since I've having my leave/off that week, I've decided to whip up a salad dish. Actually I thought of making Paprika Chicken Salad, but when i reached Giant to buy the ingrdients, I don't see any spice relating to Paprika tsk. Anyway just in case you want to learn how to make an awesome salad, here is the list!

1. Green and Purple Lettuce!
2. Thousand Island & Mayo/ Italian Dressing/ Horseradish sauce (recommended)
3. Bread
4. Butter
5. Garlic!
6. Salt
7. Boneless Chicken Thigh
8. Boiled and Chilled Egg
9. Cheese Powder!

So Before I went to get my ingredients, I already boiled the eggs and put it to chill so when i come back for the rest of preparation, it will be in perfect condition! :D

- Soaked your Lettuce with Ice water and a pinch of salt (of course wash it briefly.)

- Butter, chopped fine garlic and let it season under fire. Then put bread on the melted butter so that it can take in the "garlic butter". The bread will appear moist/soggy. 2 slices of bread would be desired!

- Toast your "soggy" bread till golden brown! And then cut into square pieces!

- Seasoned your Boneless Chicken and cut it into chunks, fried/toast/do whatever you want with it! Well I would suggest toast cause the it has better texture haha!

- A little of everything into the big mixing bowl. Lettuce with the sauce, sliced eggs, marinated cooked chicken and TOSS IT!

- Sprinkle with croutons and cheese powder and you get......

Hi boys and girls, Uncle Teddy is back!

Sorry uh, been pretty caught up in the Army Open House 2012!! I must say it is a interesting event with so many enthusiastic kiddos and girls who are interested in camou and rifles so much! Anyway I just earned like 7 days of Offs (putting it a very nice way) which is inclusive of 2 weekends. I've been really rotting at home till now, watching Raising Hope Season 2 and Rooftop Prince (which i find it getting boring.) I've lost interested in pretty much many stuffs. I doubt I can even afford a guitar at the rate of me having awesome parteh almost every week.

So one of the days, went over to Changi City Point with parents, basically to get daddy a birthday-cum-Father's day gift. Bought a pair of sneaks since he needed one for his upcoming driving test. :D

Mummy had craving for Brownie and Ice Cream, so we settled at Manhattan Fish Market for snacks. Maybe a little disappointing.

Thats about all, need to start doing some prep work for The Pop Up Sale. HEHE.

Surprisingly, I would say my first love. Even though it last for a month plus and I was called a loser for that. (I was quite hurt but life goes on.) It was sweet and I doubt I can have that kind of relationship, any sooner.

BAK KUT TEH, PIG ORGAN SOUP, KIMCHI, SUSHI (They only taste good in buffets haha!) PRATA AND CHICKEN RICE. DON'T THINK ABOUT THE DRINKS CAUSE IT WOULD NOT EVEN END HAHA. I LOVE FOOD. NUFF SAID.

Food on Trail

During the phase off, went out for a food hunt with my parents. They just love food. And I'm lucky because I always get to eat awesome "old" food which they always patronise!

First stop, Chinatown.



Well, I only had this for breakfast. Enough. Fresh Sliced Raw Fish WOO!

Then got supplies from Farrer Park before our lunch! The best sesame chicken ever! Damn awesome! Tender!!

The next day, went for some new cheap thrills. Crabs at only 12 dollars each! Newly opened coffee shop at Bedok North I think!

Mmmmm... SHIOK.

Anyway, since i got studs from Farrer Park, had idea of studding my collar. I kinda like it but its feels kinda empty one angle or another. Gotta learn the basics though. What do you think?

Awakening.

Caught Underworld: Awakening on a random sunday night cause i get to book in on monday morning. Awesome moves by Kate Beckinsale as usual. Anyway I am on my off from wednesday till sunday. Really very bored. Have been eating and catching up movies online non stop. Finally get my lazy butt out of home and went for a swim. Before that was a feast at Changi Village before they close for one freaking year :/ (which means no more good food for my nights out)

Anyway, graduated from my AIT course, now proceeding to ETI course for a month at Nee Soon camp. It sounded and yes it is freaking far. Hope a month just passed like how ATI goes, and smoothly is the main factor. :)

Anyway went to Loyang Dua Peh Gong to pray, pray for everything to be soon soon. This year Guan Yin Ma and company are very nice to me in terms of family ties and working issues. Everything quite smooth, maybe not love, ok don't wanna change this post to a ranting one.

Mummy and I had ice cream from the classic motorbike uncle that PCPY is craving today HAHA!

I had my usual Mint Chocolate on bread while my mummy had her cosmo! :D

I've been stupid because i realised actually i am not in love, i just wanted somebody to love or be loved. Apparently Loneliness is kicking in now. But Mummy is right, no point rushing, but always grab the opportunity when it is right. Yes mum i will. I will keep that in mind.

If you are wondering what is with the title,those are the nicknames my armymates gave me! Karma for disturbing PCPY. Anyway Hi all how are yall doing?

My army life was actually pretty fun but boring at the same time. Physically average compared to others. Pull Up is my killer. I'm probably gonna burn my weekends pretty soon if this carries on. So glad I'm in Jaguar coy, welfare is good, so are my bunkmates. bonded very well with a few. Crazy bunch. In the confinement period, I actually thought alot and missed alot of my friends and my family, wishing how much I've could had done more if i had more time.

Realised that i've been using ALOT of vulgarities after entering army. I don't really like it but sometimes it is inevitable. LOL

Shot taken before getting in to Tekong! I look darker and chui-er now. :/ All the mini outbreaks. Anyway, I'm actually quite afraid that I really cannot tank the Pull Up despite doing it almost everyday. Tmr is my ippt test so I'm probably gonna flung my Pull Up and have my RT ( saturday burn!). Sadded. So many movies I need to watch 那些年，我们一起追的女孩 and 一炮而红 .

First bookout, rushed back home to change so I can go redeem my Jay's album this time! Parents cooked all my favourite dishes waiting for me at home! So sweet, hugged them and you guys have no idea how much i missed them! My brother and his gf came back home with donuts! THANKS! :) Anyway,  I am so lucky I managed to redeem it despite losing my receipt! I actually am impressed with his 11th album. I know there might be many saying his album influenced by KPOP but i think he managed to infuse KPOP in his own J style, like Mine Mine.

In my opinion, his character of his 11th album is much more of a cheeky themed album. His songs are still are as impressive, vocals and music wise. Sadly there is only a few slow emo songs. To be exact only 1 emo song. The rest are all slow rock, which i think he managed to blend it well. I think he did a few sequels of his previous songs, like 公主病, which i assume it is the sequel of 陽光宅男. I really like his 11th album overall, packaging and songs wise. GOOD JOB JAY!

Random dinner, suggested by me! Brought my parents to L.E.N.A.S! Well there is a new outlet in Tampines 1!

Pomelo Mint Tea! You won't like it if you don't like Pomelo!

Been really into Aglio Olio, thing is they have almost all kind of pasta, Aglio Olio style! Meaning you can order any kind of pasta and choose your own kind of cooking style! :D

Not forgetting the 1 for 1 pizza! We ordered the seafood and the salmon. Impressive.

It is definitely worth it. Even my parents liked it! Good Food finally available in Tampines! Shall bring my parents to Nandos and KungFu Paradise when their outlets are open soon! :D

Family Meal before enlisting!

Met up with Parents, my bro and his gf. Dined at Buffet Town. Very Disappointed. Seafood was moderate. Food variety was acceptable, similar to Kiseki, but with Chilli Crab, Teppanyaki meats and seafood and their Wagyu beef. Beats hands down.

I don't know but the crayfish doesn't taste good. IMO>

I only spammed wagyu beef, which is really awesome, very tender! But thing is the portion was pathetic. Each portion was only like the one above! So I kept going for more!

Well, my second favourite dish! :D Teppanyaki!  Peeled prawns always taste nicer.

Their Green Tea Ice Cream, BEST. try it with chocolate sauce and freshly made crepe! :D A nice get together, food wise, Mmm got to think before deciding to eat here again, consider trying their lunch buffet though.
